Sopranos Spoiler

I have been on a decades long quest to watch the Sopranos in it's entirety. On the third attempt I have been able to catch all of the symbolism and "little things". Like Tony complaining about his lack of luck, while being able to outskirt the FBI at a fellow mobsters house, or having a snitch have a heart attack in the car of an FBI agent.
Season 6, Episode Two is an awe inspiring moment in TV history. Forget the rawness of Carmela in the ER, and the weird prescience of long-haired Anthony Jr., "Anthony Soprano is not going to die. I don't know what everyone is talking about." The episode revolves around Tony being in a coma after being shot by his senile "Uncle Jun." In his fantasy, Tony dreams of Tony being opposite of what he is. No tough guy Jersey accent, younger kids, different wife.  Yet this is not really only personality in the dream. He is forced to take on the role of Kevin Finnerty in order to sleep, eat, and most importantly drink.

Anyway , I recommend this book: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Double_(novel)
